Autorentext:
Roma Rights and Discrimination: The Pursuit of Reflective Social and Educational Work is the result of a joint learning project involving students, lecturers and professionals from seven European countries. It compiles reflection and analysis as a result of seminars in the respective universities, as well as experiences with two European Intensive Programs in Cluj and Budapest in 2013 and 2014.
In three chapters “Remembering”, “Pathways of Exclusion embedded in Social Inclusion Policies” and “Approaches to a Rights-Based Work” this publication provides students with methodological approaches to confront anti-Ciganism, anti-Semitism, racism and social exclusion in Europe.
Furthermore, this publication also serves as a contribution to relate Human Rights principles with historical approaches, and gives a basis to reflect upon, and to argue in the field of social work and social pedagogic education.
