Autorentext:
In the context of increasing xenophobic tendencies, partly caused by fundamentalism and populism, a new priority of religious radicalism, a diverse range of displacement processes and a socio-political as well as social work-perspective have been discussed at the second international week at the University of Applied Sciences Erfurt. It actually focused „cultures of differences“ and its inherent demand for mutual respect and appreciation of others. This international conference was furthermore characterized by the research program „Social Work of the South“, in which scientists from different universities and think tanks collaborate in a loose network, discussing and regularly publishing on emerging issues in the field. The different contributions of invited international speakers have been collected in this book
